Breaking Boundaries
Last night we had the PV for Chris Mitton's solo exhibition 'Breaking Boundaries'.
Breaking Boundaries is a collection of new works focused on Mitton’s alternative views of fine art, popular culture and the divisions within today’s society. The aesthetic and provenance of Carrara marble, the classic sculptural medium that Mitton chooses to use, along with the time and skill it demands of the artist, creates a juxtaposition to the subject matter – the expendable hoodie. His sculptures challenge the values and respect placed on the often overlooked products at the core of the same society.
We had a great turn out last night and were visited by the cast of the film BrOTHERHOOD, Noel Clarke and Jason Maza, along with jeweller Johnny Rocket and costume designer Andy Blake.
Breaking Boundaries is on until Saturday 19th November, Thursday - Saturday, 12 - 6 pm.
13, Herald Street, Bethnal Green, E2 6JT
