Robin Duttson
The linocuts are taken from drawings that Duttson is using to create a new body of sculptural work. Detailed blossom work requires three things: a studio space in an orchard, a good magnifying glass and a sense of urgency. Each spring Duttson sets up his gazebo in Devon and tries to capture the level of detail he needs to continue the pieces year round. At their simplest level, the artist hopes these drawings convey some of the optimism and beauty of springtime. He was recently included in Impress 09.
