Tobias Till
At the Royal Academy Schools and Byam Shaw School of Art Tobias Till’s primary focus was painting and drawing. It was not until a few years later that he made his first lino prints, which allowed him to combine his joint enthusiasms for composition and colour.
Till’s principle subject matter is London. He aims to convey a feeling of place as an amalgamated experience with multiple viewpoints. Till combines expansive aerial views with ground-level images and other distorted perspectives. His technique allows the viewer to feel an overall sense of place, and simultaneously to engage with it on a more personal level.
