"Once the home of the embassy of the United States of America in Eero Saarinen’s characteristically trans atlantic, brushed aluminum architectural masterpiece, Grosvenor Square has for the most part been synonymous with America and American culture. Dotted with statues and memorials honoring the country’s heroic figures, in war and in politics, the place has also been the focus of protest, picnics and passport problems, affectionately dubbed ‘The Star Spangled Square’.
Adam Dant’s latest hand coloured litho in his series of London Squares celebrates American culture across the lawns and thoroughfares of Grosvenor Square, populating the place with a diverse cast of characters referencing film and literature, history and politics."
