"An original copperplate print, based on the etching ‘Veduta della Piazza del Campidoglio’ by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720–1778).
Men with ropes, in the centre of the piece, pull down a statue of a horseman. In this frozen moment, the horse appears to be rearing up, about to throw the rider. Three figures in the foreground record the scene on cameras and mobile phones. Outside of the border at the bottom, there is a long title, as was typical in these types of veduta etchings"
