A re-imagining of Carlo Crivelli’s Annunciation with Saint Emidius where the humans have been replaced with white cockatoos, this is again dwelling into architecture the original painting has been duplicated and mirrored to enhance the feel of the drama of the perspective which is so incredibly sharp in mind-bending detail. Internally you have the lear birds, reimagined as they have flown through a still life of flowers in a vase by Ambrosious Bossheart the elder, the original Lear birds where some of the first composition collage images Kristjana created from the greatest ornithological artist of his era Edward Lear. Each of the 6 layers is hand and laser cut and slotted into a bespoke dark brown wooden frame with double anti-reflective glass. The piece is printed, hand and laser cut and framed in England, using the highest quality archival paper (Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300 gsm) and highest quality inks (giclée), to ensure you are able to enjoy your piece for years to come.
