'In this new release, I aimed to re-embrace the retro styling that has characterized much of our studio's work. I wanted to evoke a strong sense of nostalgia, like something salvaged from a lost arcade or retro video rental store....'Pizza Planet perhaps!' Mission to Mars plays on many elements and levels I love to make art with - bold colors, vibrant imagery, retro iconography, and a sense of playfulness. I have always loved to work in that sense of adventure, which seems to be a recurring theme in our recent editions—like "Voyager," "Adventure Awaits," and now "Mission to Mars." Perhaps my subconscious is telling me to get out of the studio...take a holiday!'
