Rob White
Rob White is a painter and printmaker who has many years of experience in both his own practice, and as a printer for a range of artist’s projects. Initially working at Thumbprint Editions on projects for artists including Anthony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, and Richard Deacon, Rob is now a printer for Paupers Press and HAUSPRINT Studio, leading the HAUSPRINT Etching Year, and working with artists like Grayson Perry, Tracey Emin, and Tom Hammick. He has also been a tutor for the Morely College Printmaking and Bookbinding Department, and is a member of East London Printmakers
With his ongoing 'Away From The Centre' monoprint series, Rob explores how colours communicate with each other, simultaneously contrasting and combining within each one-of-a-kind print. The colours of Rob's prints are read differently depending on how you approach the image - they could be strobe lights, fluorescent designs, or visual auras; the different rhythms and colour combinations of each piece set a different mood, and create a space for the viewer to get lost in.
