Sadie Tierney
Sadie Tierney works within the landscape genre in painting and printmaking, beginning with plein air sketching to capture scenes out in the environment. Tierney's works are characterised by their energetic use of vibrant, neon colour, injecting each scene with the excitement of travel. Tierney's woodblock prints especially evoke this with their thick stark lines and bold applications of colour.
Sadie Tierney studied BA Fine Art at Newcastle University, and MA Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, and is currently represented by Rabley Gallery. Her works have been exhibited internationally, and are held in the public collections of The Royal West of England Academy, Clifford Chance Collection, Eton College Collection, Royal College of Art, Bronx Museum of Art, and National Museum in Gdansk.
