'N1 to W1' brings together a selection of artists working across mediums, spanning printmaking, sculpture, painting, drawing, and paper-cut work, each exploring themes of space and movement in their practice.

Snapshots of the everyday sit next to celebrations of travel and discovery, reflecting the different avenues of a life lived. Unexpected materials like maps and encyclopaedias become contemporary artwork, deconstructing methods of language and cartography to be reimagined in a new form.

In amongst narratives of human life, representations of animals and birds signal ideas of migration and the borderless nature of wildlife's various journeys.

 

 

Created specially for the exhibition, Adam Dant will be unveiling a new lithograph edition 'Map of Marylebone' at the show, detailing the history and forgotten stories of the area in his characteristic playful style.
