Chris Mitton celebrating under Ugo Rondinone's 'The Song Is You', at the entrance of the Royal Academy

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026 is now open! Congratulations to all of the artists that have been selected for the Summer Exhibition, including Adam Dant, Chris Mitton, Alberto Fusco, and Melanie Berman.

Adam Dant's new hand tinted lithograph 'Grosvenor Square' is exhibited in Gallery IX, detailing the history of the area. See if you can spot all the American references Adam has included to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Independence Day, as the American Embassy used to be located on the site!
If you would like to see 'Grosvenor Square' in more detail, you can view and order online! We have 10 AP's available and you can purchase from the rest of the edition through the RA.

Chris Mitton's Carrara marble edition 'Coffee Cup' (2025) has also been selected for the show! Each of Chris' pieces is carved by hand and is inspired by the theme of "the world we have created through the eyes of those that will inherit it."
You can see more works from Chris on our website, including a brand new original work 'Discarded Cup', which imagines the world larger than life size, as if seen through the eyes of a child.

"It's good to see how weird people are. When you see art by almost 20,000 people who all have such madly idiosyncratic, specific interest and views on the world, it just made me think, wow, this is better than social media"
- Ryan Gander RA, coordinator for this year's Summer Exhibition

We're thrilled that Alberto Fusco is also be exhibiting an original piece 'Brizo' at the Royal Academy!
You can browse more works from Alberto in his catalogue HERE, and on our website.
We recently visited Alberto in his London studio, where he showed us the various ways he works with paper to construct his pieces, and gave us some more insight into his background and inspirations. You can now read the full In The Studio interview over on our blog.

For her 5th time exhibiting in the Summer Exhibition, two of Melanie Berman's original paintings have been selected, 'The Circle Found the Square' and 'The Circle and Square Became One'!
Melanie's practice involves layering a variety of mixed media onto the surface, to then be buffed away, exploring ideas of excavation, texture, and visual language.
We recently exhibited Melanie's work at AAF Hong Kong, where she was chosen for the British Consulate's British Pavilion Display, curated by Hugo Barclay.
