Rob Ryan at Charleston House
Huge congratulations to Rob Ryan whose solo show of papercuts and ceramics opened in the gallery at Charleston House yesterday evening.
Charleston House, on the South Downs near Lewes, was a favourite retreat of the Bloomsbury Group; a circle of writers, artists and intellectuals who were highly influential in the development of British Modernism. Much of their work blended sophisticated modern design with a respect for traditional craftsmanship; values that Rob most definitely shares. Well worth a day trip!
