Justine Smith
Paper has always been a primary material in Justine Smith’s work. She is currently concerned with the concept of money, and how it touches almost every aspect of our lives. Money acts as a conduit of power and we build our world around it: on a physical level a banknote is just a piece of paper, but it represents something far bigger. Through her collages, prints and sculptures, Smith examines our relationship to currency and coinage while also exploiting the physical beauty of the notes.
