Adam Bridgland
Described as ‘your favourite leisure time artist,’ Adam Bridgland investigates classic, nostalgic themes of holiday-making through screenprints and public sculpture, with the holiday itself a fantasy that rarely lives up to expectations. Rejoicing in the mundane, he turns to colouring books, travel guides and scout camp paraphernalia for his visual and emotional inspiration. His work is often kitsch and humorous, but poignant, touching on familiar, often peculiarly British sentiments.
Adam lives and works in London, and has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe, and America. On top of his own artwork, Adam is the Print Studio Manager for Jealous Gallery, and also curates, runs workshops, and participates in artistic charity events, regularly working with organisations like Teenage Cancer Trust to raise money and awareness through art.
